Out of Pocket Expenses
Usually, when a person is injured in an accident, there are expenses incurred that would not have been spent if the accident had not occurred. Commonly, people injured in car accidents have additional expenses for things like prescription medication, physiotherapy, chiropractic, massage therapy or other types of rehabilitation programs, taxi fares to and from appointments, and many other forms of expenses. As a general rule, if you incur an expense that you would not otherwise have incurred had you not been injured, you can recover that expense as part of your claim as long as it is "reasonably necessary". At RDM Lawyers, our lawyers and support staff are trained in identifying those types of expenses and know what can and cannot be claimed. With your assistance, we collect the receipts and information necessary to present that part of your claim to the insurance company for reimbursement to you.
